“BEAUTIFULLY CONSTRUCTED GOWNS AND DRESSES FASCINATE ME MORE THAN PAINTINGS, BECAUSE YOU CAN LIVE IN THIS WORK OF ART” –  Radhika khanna AT CHARLES JAMES EXHIBITION, METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART,NEW YORK, NY.

Radhika Khanna founded Estilo Inc, New York City based fashion company in 2005. She’s a fashion designer, who graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology, New York.

Estilo Inc, has two labels under it’s belt, “ Estilo NYC” and “ Rudrani“. The head office is in the garment district of Manhattan.
Both these labels have a purpose and do good to the world.
You can find Estilo NYC in almost all the major stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc, in the USA and Europe. Their highest retail is $21.99.

Radhika, has employed more than 200 unprivileged women in Asian countries for apparel production for Estilo NYC. Due to low retail price, the quantities are very high, so, the annual sales revenue gets higher.
This way they can employ more women for more production. The fabrics used are mainly cotton. They try to stay away from polyester based fabrics. The styles are for women aged 21-34, Its called “Trendy Junior market” in USA.

The high-end label is “ Rudrani”, it is a contemporary line. All designs are individually created from natural fabrics, they also use old saris from  India, giving old clothes new life. This also helps the planet by reducing waste. The highest retail is $499 and it sells in Boutiques in USA. It has also been seen hanging in ‘Urban Outfitters’ and some Hollywood celebrities wearing it. This label doesn’t generate a high volume in sales, due to high price retail. But, it’s environment friendly, says, Radhika.

Radhika has hands on production and designing and also is an amazing Sales and Marketing Guru.

While growing up in India, she started a small boutique called “Radhika Apparel” Indian clothing, out of her parents house. She was also the youngest girl to apply for “export license” also called “IEC code” in India at the age of 18.
She’s a small town girl with big dreams. The boutique turned into a small export house, but, due to some mistakes and losses, she had to travel to UK to sell the shipment door to door at the age of 21.
She says, “It was because of lack of education in fashion and business experience”.

While in UK, she realized how small her outlook towards business is.
After returning to India, she closed the export house/ boutique “Radhika Apparel” and went to USA to study at  Fashion Institute of Technology
She’s a real entrepreneur who knows how to make profits out of any losses.

Not only she turned around her business and career, she also wrote and illustrated a yoga book called ‘Pose”, This was written after undergoing her own health problems. The book made profits, which were donated to “Lupus foundation of America”.
